Stroke and Aphasia Patient and Public Involvement Group

We are a group of stroke survivors and their supporters who meet 4 times a year at Graves Health and Leisure Centre.

We comment on stroke research in Sheffield.

We want to be involved in helping future stroke patients reach their full potential...to see what projects are in development and help to evolve them

Although the projects presented might not be of any direct benefit to my family, it's good to have the opportunity to pass on our experience to researchers and to contribute to the shape of future research

I've enjoyed being part of the Stroke and Aphasia PPI panel. It's a great way of becoming involved in upcoming research. I feel valued as my opinions are respected.
