People in Research (part of the NIHR's Centre for Engagement and Dissemination) is a national advisory group that supports greater public involvement in NHS, public health and social care research. They offer a large range of information and supporting documents that explain PPI in detail. To find out more please go to the People in Research website

There is a free online course developed by the NIHR that you can access here. There are 3 separate modules covering different topics with each module designed so that it may take 1 - 2h to complete.
