Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Scanner
The Academic Unit of Radiology at the University of Sheffield participates in studies involving Magnetic Resonance techniques. Our particular areas of interest are Neuro imaging, foetal imaging and the use of hyperpolarised agents for Magnetic Resonance. However, we are able to assist investigators in most clinical areas who wish to undertake research using MRI techniques.
We currently operate four MR scanners at different sites across Sheffield; two based at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital (1.5T and 3T wide bore), Sheffield Children's Hospital (1.5T) and a small bore 0.2T system based at the Jessop Wing.
The first point of contact for accessing support is your R&D Coordinator, who will liaise with the appropriate contacts to ensure coordinated delivery of support for your research.
