Thursday May 5th 2016, Octagon Centre, University of Sheffield

Insigneo Institute is a collaborative initiative between the University of Sheffield and Sheffield Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, where we develop sophisticated computer simulations of human physiology, in health and disease, in order to improve clinical diagnosis and treatment. With a multi-disciplinary membership of over 140 academics and clinicians, our Institute is Europe’s largest centre dedicated to these activities, in the young discipline known as in silico medicine.

The Insigneo Showcase is the largest gathering of professionals associated with the field of in silico medicine. With two months to go, we already have 150 delegates including high profile individuals from industry, academia, NHS and funding bodies!

The entire event looks at the process of turning research into better ways of preventing, diagnosing and treating disease, and also exploring, understanding and optimising the translational process, via industrial development to clinic.

In addition to the latest news on scientific developments, the event will include:

  • keynotes talks from world leading experts
  • a lively panel debate examining the opportunities and barriers to widespread clinical adoption of in silico medicine
  • a full-scale Industrial Village, dedicated to our translational partners. Here you will find many of Europe’s foremost medical industry organisations presenting the latest, most dynamic information on their cutting-edge developments, and their interface with the world of in silico technology
  • a presentation area giving insights into the latest research developments within the Institute from its numerous research activities

Our sessions and keynote speakers have been finalised to find out more download the Showcase Programme.
